Job description

We are currently looking for an Infrastructure foreman/-woman to strengthen our team. In this challenging role, you will work alongside the site manager and lead and supervise the operational staff involved in infrastructure and civil projects. You have good communication skills and enjoy contributing ideas to the execution of tasks. Conducting toolbox meetings is nothing new to you, and you prioritize safety in and around the workplace. Every day, you strive to get the best out of your team, coaching and inspiring them with your leadership. If you are a strong personality driven to achieve results, hands-on, and willing to work for an extended period, then this is the job for you. Within our company, we specialize in Infrastructure and Civil works, and you will work on fixed projects on Bonaire. You will work alongside an experienced team of professionals who will welcome you with open arms.

What does your work entail?

• Together with your team and our subcontractors, ensure the successful execution of the assigned project
• Providing leadership and instruction to the operational staff
• Collaborating with the site manager to modify and/or develop work plans
• Ensuring effective and efficient scheduling of personnel and equipment
• Working closely with the site manager to whom you also report
• Your work area is Bonaire, with perhaps occasional projects in surrounding (is)lands
• Working mostly in teams, but with significant individual responsibility for the outcome

What qualities do you bring?

• Completed relevant MBO education
• Several years of experience as a leader in the Infrastructure field
• Motivated with a positive attitude
• Possession of a Sedula/Passport or work permit
• Possession of a driver’s license
• Access to (your own) transportation to reach the main office
• Proficiency in Papiamentu (not mandatory), Dutch, Spanish, or English language, spoken and possibly written
• Ability to perform physical work and enjoy working outdoors
• Willingness to contribute to making the world a bit better for our clients, users, and yourself
