Takeover of MRE

As of February 1, 2024, the HR Group has acquired MRE Engine Overhaul under the new name HR Engine & Propulsion Services. This acquisition provides MRE with the opportunity to make a fresh start after the bankruptcy, with MRE’s activities, services, and staff all being retained. All former employees of MRE have transitioned to HR Propulsion & Engine Services.

The HR Group is pleased with the successful acquisition, which aligns perfectly with our ambition to further develop and expand both nationally and internationally. “We are strengthening our group and broadening our market, services, and service range,” said Evert Jan van der Es, CEO of the HR Group. With the knowledge and expertise of Johannes Zwerwer (former owner of both MRE and Engine2Repair) and the transition of all employees, we are able to safeguard all activities and services of former MRE and Engine2Repair. We were already active in the field of propulsion. With this merger, we are able to offer the entire package, from propulsion to engine work.

About HR Engine & Propulsion Services

In addition to propulsion (alignment and propulsion), HR Engine & Propulsion Services is engaged in the supply, overhaul, testing, and repair of engine parts and offers services such as cylinder head, engine block, and crankshaft machining, as well as alternator and starter motor overhauls. The company carries out repair, maintenance, service, and overhaul on-site for the agriculture, automotive, industrial, and maritime sectors for both small and large engines.
